Our Approach

Recognizing the systemic barriers that our community members face in accessing resources and opportunities, we strive to provide information, resources, and tools to advance equity in affordable housing, healthy living, and economic mobility within the West Charlotte area. The programs offered by The Park CDC are designed to empower those in need by working with and not for the community. We work to first understand the root causes of challenges faced by local residents and to then respond with an informed and collaborative approach by working alongside program participants to improve outcomes. The strategies and solutions are designed based on qualitative feedback shared by community members as these individuals are given the opportunity to voice their opinions of what will enhance their health and wellness and build self-sufficiency among the communities served.
